The Royal Terrace Hotel offers a wonderful chance to savour the historical elegance of the Georgian era, just a few steps from the modern designer boutiques of Princes Street and its surroundings. It is also very rare among Edinburgh hotels in having its own private, landscaped garden, where you can sit out during the summer months and savour a pre-dinner cocktail after a hard day’s sightseeing.

Only a short walk from the main shopping area of Edinburgh, they are situated on a quiet, tree lined street, providing you with a quiet and peaceful retreat. The Royal Terrace Hotel is also just 10 minutes' walk from the Old Town of Edinburgh and allows easy access from Waverley Train Station and Edinburgh Airport.

really handy for the theatre & princess st & st james shopping centre ... great for bus routes going everywhere... Great for the Playhouse theatre.... Excellent location for going to theatre. Within walking distance.... very close to town centre ... good location ... Quiet location ... fairly central ... need to be willing to walk a bit... close to station shops and theatre... Good location, close to the attractions. ... added benefit of being located in a quiet street.... CLOSE TO PLAYHOUSE THEATRE... Situated on a lovely quiet avenue ... 5 minutes walk from the royal mile & railway station... The theatre was only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel...
