The Original Raj hotel is the first Indian themed hotel in the uk. A traditional townhouse built in 1890 and set back from the roadside, the hotel has been decorated with Indian furniture, fabrics and objects imported from Jaipur. Statuettes of elephants stand sentry at the entrance. The hotel has just 17 rooms all in keeping with the elegant Indian theme. This hotel is an ideal option for guests looking for a more unusual hotel which is still close by the city centre.
