Bonham Hotel

35 Drumsheugh Gardens, Edinburgh EH3 7RN

Our Review

With one of the most discreetly elegant hotel façades in Edinburgh, the Bonham is a boutique property in peaceful surroundings not too far from the West End of Princes Street. Inside, it boasts a magnificent blend of old and new, with oak panelling, funky colour schemes and ornate fireplaces. There’s also Scottish art on the walls throughout and the beds are some of the biggest around.

Guest Reviews

Our guests have commented on the Hotel under the headings below. Click on a tab to see what they said ...
The standard guestrooms, of which there are around 40, have mostly zip link beds which are easily converted from oversize twin beds into a huge king-size, offering guests the choice which some other hotels can't. Rooms are individually decorated, usually with bright colours and matching fabrics. Due to the age of the building the rooms differ in size. Facilities are just what you would expect of such a hotel and all have flat screen televisions which offer guests Internet access and jukebox music. This is provided on a complimentary basis and guests are only expected to pay for movies. This hotel has a mini-bar in each room. Bathrooms are modern, tiled and clean with shower and bath and offer Molton Brown toiletries for guests’ use. The hotel is just launching its newly created designer superior rooms, which are already award winning. Decorated in black and white, they feature subdued L.E.D. lighting and huge windows overlooking the New Town area.
Room Facilities:
Direct Dial Telephone Hairdryer Mini Bar
Satellite/Cable Television Tea/Coffee Trouser Press
LCD TV Internet via TV

rooms need a bit of a freshening up...             Room walls on the thin side ...             rooms comfortable and spacious ...             there was a lack of drawer space ...              no hooks for coats which was a problem....             room became very hot after showering as the extractor fan didn't seem to be working....             Standard rooms don't quite live up to the pictures used on the Bonham website....             Room was amazingly big ...             well decorated....             headboard was very dusty!...
