This hotel is in a quiet location yet within 5 mins walk of one end on Princes St. There is little parking however as it is all metered. It is about £16 in a taxi from the airport. The hotel has some great traditional features and the rooms were of a good size and clean. There is a small bar but the hotel is quiet in the evening. The staff were willing to supply us with hot choc and biccies to unwind before bed...well I was there for my mums 70th birthday! Very nice breakfast served by polite staff. I would stay there again.
Top Tip
If you fancy something different to eat try the Andalucia (behind princes street but I cant remember the road) which is a spanish tapa's restaurant. Just get a couple of dishes each and all dig in.
We went to the real Mary Kings Close which was different and interesting, the tour lasts an hour (ideal if it is raining).
Booking is advisable for both of these.

We were really impressed with this small and very friendly hotel. There were 8 of us in our party and we all agreed we'd stay there again. Princes street is about a 5-10 minute walk away but there are some lovely restaurants along the way, we tried an italian and it was really nice.

Amazing interior (panelled walls, lovely ceilings etc) Old fashioned and maybe a bit tired but comfortable enough. No trouble finding places to eat within 5 to 10 minutes walk - Queensferry Street and George Street.
