Excellent hotel, staff were very helpful and polite. Service excellent and the location of the hotel is so convenient for all of the various delights of Edinburgh.
Top Tip
La Tasca tapas bar just down from the hotel is great, good food and service, reasonably priced.

Very cozy feeling and clean. A little confusing when trying to find your room, but would definately stay again. Warm hotel with amazing location.
Top Tip
Lots of things to do, you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner anywhere as there were many resteraunts all around the hotel. Shopping high street just on the doorstep.

very well situated close to all the tourist attractions. A well appointed hotel.
Top Tip
Great variety of restaurants in Rose Street just around the corner. Book via this website as half the price of booking direct with the hotel.

Very comfortable. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice of food, including fresh fruit. We were able to leave our cases and staff were very ready to answer any questions and give advice.
Top Tip
Plenty of restaurants near, including a good vegetarian restaurant and also a good cocktail bar.

The room we were given was tiny with a very small bed, barley a double. Clearly only intended for one person. Couldn't even sit straight on the loo the room was so small. No leasure facilities due to a plumbing issue. Discussed with the duty manager who has offered a 50% discount on a future stay. May change recommendation depending how that goes.

Bar was badly understaffed and undertrained for a busy hotel on rugby international week--end.
compounded by a student ball which also used the hotel bar
