Our Review

The Roxburghe Hotel has an ideal location, just around the corner from Princes Street and George Street. The hotel boasts an elegant style in keeping with its Georgian building. There are two types of room: classic which is more traditional, or the modern contemporary style rooms. Given the age and style of the property, some rooms are a bit small and/or in the attic of the building..

Problems with the room keys... beautiful Georgian room ... Room beautiful with more than enough facilities ... When booking ask for a room with a view of the Castle. ... the only disappointment was the condition of the room... Fridge did not work in our room.... nice rooms, very clean ... only disappointment was that the bed was smaller than a double... original room (441) was difficult to access and the bathroom was less than satisfactory.... room was dissapointing - small and a bit shoddy... 4* yet no mini bar and no room to swing a cat... Bad room layout,... I was extremely disappointed to find my double room was in the attic of the hotel.... had no window with only a sky light.... first night the heating in the room was not on and when repaired it vibrated so loudly it was impossible to sleep.... shower in the bathroom was so low and cramped it was hard to use....
