In a city steeped in history, the Jury’s Inn offers a great chance to stay in an affordable hotel that is surrounded by beautiful medieval architecture but is itself ultra-modern and efficient. Its location – overlooking Waverley Station and Princes Street, but also close to the Castle and the Royal Mile – really can’t be beaten. It also boasts clean, well-equipped rooms and is non-smoking throughout. The perfect hotel for a business trip or a city break.
The Jurys Inn Edinburgh Hotel is a modern, glass fronted property with a great central location. There are 186 rooms in total and all are nicely decorated in a minimalist yet comfortable style with brightly coloured bedding and light wood furnishings. All rooms are en-suite and can accommodate three adults, two adults and two children, or just one person in complete comfort. All rooms have satellite television, WIFI and some have sofa beds to accommodate children. The rooms do not have personal safes but these are available at the reception without charge. The hotel also has an ironing room for those guests who need to use an iron.
The bar has recently been renovated and is open to the public for drinks and bar meals from 11.00am (meals finish at 9.30pm). Adjacent to this is the hotel's restaurant which again has just been renovated and is open for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is a generous buffet offering a good choice of hot and cold dishes.
The hotel has only 8 car parking spaces which they tend to keep for guests with disabilities. There is an NCP car park (St John's Hill) very close which offers discounted parking for £9.90 (correct at May 2008).
This hotel is non-smoking throughout.
