Very well situated, able to use pool etc in apex hotel just 2 minutes walk away. Very helpful staff, lovely rooms. Being in the centre of the Grassmarket there are plenty of pubs and restaurants around, lots of local history too, all very interesting.
Top Tip
Some quirky shops also and you are only 5 minutes walk from the royal mile. The Old Town of Edinburgh is well worth a visit.

Perfect location! Stay three nights to get the best deals.
Top Tip
It is right across the street from a tour bus stop, and as each ticket is good for 24 hours, we used it as our transport.
Also across the street are steps that go directly up to, or return from, the castle.
The White Hart, a two minute walk away on the Grassmarket is the oldest pub in Edinburgh and has great food and atmosphere.
Petit Paris, again a two minute walk away on the Grassmarket, is an authentic French restaurant serving delicious food at good prices. One main course and coffee for £7.95 at lunch and dinner!
